Error: 'Cannot alter the login' when changing a user's password

This error occurs because Dimensions and Service Manager share the same SQL user. To change a user's password, you'll need to update it in Dimensions first. Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Dimensions as SA.

  2. Change the users' password in Dimensions.

  3. Log in to Service Manager using your login details.

  4. You should now be able to change the user's password in Service Manager.
