Error: 'SMSP_AMS_FETCH_ENGINEER_PROFILE_OPTIONS could not find an engineer profile'

This error appears when no engineer profile is mapped to the user profile. Follow these steps to set up the mapping.

  1. Log in to Service Manager with a Master account.

  2. Click the **Workshop** tab, then click **Engineers** in the Records group.

  3. Use the search on the **Code** field to check whether an engineer profile exists for the user. If one does not exist, create one.

  4. Click the **System** tab, then click **User Defaults** in the Security group.

  5. Find the engineer in the Service Manager Users list and click to select them.

  6. Click **Settings**.

  7. In User Options, use the search on the **Users Engineer Code** field to select the corresponding engineer code for the user.

  8. Click **OK** to save.
