Adding a new user in Mobile Administrator

To make a new user in SME Mobile:

  1. To log into Access Mobile Administrator, in the bottom left on the screen, click the Windows icon.

  2. Navigate to or type in Access Applications, click this folder.

  3. Click the Access Mobile Services option.

  4. Select Administrator, this will open a login window.

  5. Enter the Administrator account information and the Service URL. This will have been provided to separately.

  6. Click Logon.

  7. To create a new User Account, on the System tab, click Users.

  8. Click New User.

  9. Type the User details:

    • User ID: A unique ID for the User. This could be the Engineer Code or the User ID from Service Manager.

    • User Name: The User’s email address.

    • Password: A password for the User to connect with.

    • Profile: The Profile for the User.

    • Enabled: To be checked if the User is enabled.

    • Administrator: To be checked if the User is to be an Administrator.On the Linked Users tab, click Insert.

  10. Add the Linked User:

    • AMS Database: The database to link the User to.

    • User Type: Is the User an Engineer or a User.

    • User ID: The User ID of the User to link the account to.

  11. Add additional Linked Users as required.

  12. Click Save.

  13. Click Save & Close. The User should now be able to log into the chosen databases via Service Manager Mobile.
